In CCTV systems, monitors are important element of entire systems visualization. Main feature distinguishing them from normal television tubes is their special construction that provides longer lifetime of luminophore. Main parameters given with monitors are screens resolution, number of inputs and outputs of visual signal, on screen menu (mostly at color monitors). We distinguish color and black and white monitors by screens diagonal size i.e. 9, 12, 15 or 20 inches.
Lately liquid crystal monitors have gained popularity in CCTV systems. Those monitors compared to traditional tubes are more friendly for human eye and are a lot smaller (their depth is below 10cm and weight below 6kg). So far LCD monitors price is higher then CRT monitors.
